What is CAD, Drafting, and Fabrication

Computer-aided design, manufacturing, and fabrication – often called CAD/CAM –  are industry standard tools for industrial design. We use them to create custom physical objects. First, we employ computer-aided design (CAD) to craft the idea as a blueprint on a computer. Then computer-aided manufacturing (CAM) steps in to take our digital design and turns it into a real, physical object, with the help of 3D printers or CNC machines.
