20 Dec Top Visual Experience Trends We’re Seeing Right Now
Trends in immersive work tend to come and go quickly, but a few shifts have been sticking around longer than others.
One is a move away from overwhelming visuals. Instead of filling every surface with content, more projects are using restraint. Negative space, slower transitions, and moments of stillness are becoming just as important as movement.
Another trend is site-specific design. Clients are less interested in visuals that could exist anywhere and more interested in work that only makes sense in one location. This pushes creativity in a good way and results in experiences that feel grounded and authentic.
We’re also seeing a stronger blend of physical and digital elements. Fabrication and projection are working together instead of separately. Structures are built specifically to catch light, break visuals apart, or create layers people can walk through.
Finally, there’s a growing interest in experiences that feel personal rather than performative. Not everything needs to be Instagram-first. Some of the most successful projects we’ve worked on were designed to be experienced in the moment, not captured on a phone.
